West Coast Environmental Legal has received our application and we are pleased to announce that lawyer Glen Bell has agreed to work on our/WCEL's behalf. A decision on support should be made by Dec 8 2009.
Katzie First Nations Chief, Mike Leon has submitted a letter stating Katzie First Nation does not support the proposed expansion.

Have been in contact with Ron Bronstein (executive regional director, southwest region, mining and minerals division of energy mines and petroleum resources) who said "the Pitt River permit amendment is currently being administered by the Front Counter BC office in Surrey BC" and at not his office.
"The review is still undergoing information gather in response to referrals and public input from the advertising period. Once that is completed the file will return to this (his) office for further processing."
This is expected to be in early January but has not been confirmed.
